Our Online Partner Yoga classes are designed to explore connection with yourself and your partner through movement and breath. We offer various options to make each exercise work for your body—there's never any pressure to do something that doesn't feel right. You'll practice in the comfort of your own space, without the pressure of a full studio watching you.
During each Partner Yoga session, we guide you through mindful movements that focus on breath awareness and invite you to explore your emotions and feelings. Each session centers around a specific theme, such as communication, with targeted exercises to enhance your skills.
Partner Yoga offers unique benefits compared to individual sessions—you can practice real-life skills in a safe environment. This creates space to explore your patterns, examine your default reactions, and identify which ones you'd like to modify for personal growth and development.
Our sessions welcome all participants, not just romantic partners (unless specifically noted). You can join with a friend, family member, or neighbor. No prior yoga experience is necessary. We ask that you keep your camera on so we can provide specific guidance to make exercises more accessible. Your microphone will be muted, allowing you to communicate freely with your partner without disrupting the class.
Communication with your partner
The theme for the first Partner Yoga Class is "communication with your partner." In addition to movements and breath awareness, we will include specific exercises to enhance your communication skills. The focus will be on taking responsibility for your part in communication. Can you maintain a neutral tone of voice? Are you able to request changes from your partner without blame? These skills apply equally to receiving communication. You might find yourself making assumptions about what your partner isn't even trying to say, or perhaps interpreting their words as personal attacks.
This class provides a safe space to improve your communication—both with your class partner and in daily life. Be brave and join us to practice these valuable skills.
